Abstract
The precise determination of added mass and radiation damping coefficients is very important in assessing the performance and stability of coastal floating structures. In the present study, the existing methods for determining the hydrodynamic coefficients are reexamined, and then enhanced methods are presented. The enhanced methods were verified to show nice agreements with existing numerical or experimental results.
Key Words: floating structures; added mass coefficient; radiation damping coefficient; singularity distribution method; boundary element method
