Abstract
In order to analyze the pattern of sediment transport, we conducted the survey of surface sediment at intervals of about 500 m and suggested the seasonal sediment pathway using the grain-size trend analysis. In doing so, the distances for survey points are set based on the tidal residual current. In addition, the critical distance considering the diagonal distance between survey points was applied to Gao s GSTA model. To validate the accuracy of Gao s GSTA model, we compared the Gao s GSTA model results to observed depth data on the front of Jinha Beach. it was confirmed that the model results coincided with the seasonal depth variation on the front of Jinha Beach.
Key Words: grain-size trend analysis; tidal residual current; Gao s GSTA model; Jinha beach
