Abstract
Sea-level rise due to climate change becomes the factors causing natural disaster in coastal areas. In this study, we performed the stability assessment of dike height at west coastal area in Korea. A dike height was calculated by sum of the calculated H.H.W, sealevel rise, wave run up height and freeboard. In case of sea-level rise, we used the calculated result on 2050yr and 2100yr from the RCP scenarios. Wave run up height was estimated from the equations on coastal engineering manual(USACE, 2002) and wave numerial simulation results. This calculated stability dike height was compared with the average dike height of the present.
Key Words: Dike height; Wave runup height; Climate change; Sea level rise
